Reviews and pricing

What's included in the free tier?

One full agreement review — verdict, risk score, negotiation points, and every deadline — released as soon as the analysis finishes, with a free Sidecar review whenever you ask for one. No credit card. The agreement stays on your renewal runway afterward, with its notice deadline and last safe day to act. It's one review, not one per month; the next one is $299 or included in a plan.

Why does Watch cost less a month than one review?

Because they sell different things. A $299 review is deep work on one contract you're deciding about right now. Watch is the ongoing job of making sure no notice window passes unnoticed across every agreement you've already signed — that costs us far less per month, and it's the part most businesses actually lose money on.

Do you offer enterprise or custom plans?

Yes. If your needs go beyond Advisor — custom integrations, dedicated support, or specific compliance requirements — reach out and we'll build a plan around your business.

How does billing work?

Plans bill monthly in advance and are set up by the Sidecar team — you'll get a single invoice each cycle. There's no long-term contract: cancel any time and the plan runs through the cycle you've already paid for.

How is my data secured?

All agreements and business data are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your documents are never used to train AI models, and you can request full deletion at any time.

Can I cancel or change plans?

An Owner can move the workspace to Free from Billing at any time — it takes effect straight away, with no penalties and no lock-in. Moving up, or between paid plans, we set up by hand so the invoice matches what you actually need; ask and it's done the same business day.

Reading the review

Is this legal advice?

No. Sidecar provides business decision support, not legal advice. It reads an agreement the way a sharp operator would — what does this cost, when does it renew, what can hurt us, what should we push back on — and gives you the findings with the clauses cited. It does not draft contracts and it does not replace your attorney. Sidecar does not act on your behalf. It never sends an email to a vendor, signs anything, or negotiates with a counterparty. We are not a law firm, so no attorney-client privilege attaches to what you upload. For decisions with material legal impact, bring counsel in. Sidecar makes that conversation shorter and better-informed.

Is a dollars-at-stake figure financial advice?

No. Dollars-at-stake figures, pricing comparisons, and estimated impact are modeled estimates for business decision support — not financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice, and not a guarantee of what you'll recover. We show the reasoning and a confidence level so you can judge them. Where a number feeds a filing, a valuation, or a tax position, have a qualified professional confirm it. Full detail is in our Terms.

What if the analysis isn't sure about something?

It says so. Every finding carries a confidence level, and any claim that can't be verified against the document's actual text is marked low confidence rather than dressed up as certainty. You should know the difference between what the agreement clearly says and what it merely suggests — so we keep that line visible.

What happens to my agreement after I upload it?

It stays in your organization's isolated workspace, readable only by your team, until you delete it. It is never used to train AI models. The full picture is on our Security and Privacy pages.

Renewals and notice

Is this available today?

It is built, and during the pilot it is switched on per workspace. The packet is included with paid plans, which the Sidecar team sets up with you; once it is on, it is assembled about 45 days before the last safe day to act on a watched agreement. Renewal Watch — the deadline alerts at 30, 14, and 7 days — runs on the same schedule.

Will Sidecar email my vendor?

No, and this is not a setting. Sidecar drafts; you send. Nothing leaves your workspace addressed to a counterparty, ever.

Is a drafted letter legal advice?

No. Sidecar is business decision support, not a law firm, and no attorney-client privilege attaches to what you upload. A drafted letter is business correspondence. Where an agreement requires formal notice in a specific form, that should go through your counsel — and every packet says so.

What will it cost?

Included with a plan rather than metered separately. The whole point of a subscription that watches your stack is that the watching pays for itself, and a packet you have to decide whether to buy is a packet you will skip on the renewal that mattered.
