Ask Grok Bot about your vendor contracts. Get the clause, the date, and the arithmetic.
Sidecar reviews your vendor agreements and watches every renewal and notice window. Connect it to Grok Bot or Cursor and the assistant you already use can read every released review, the renewal runway, and what you pay against what the contract states — and record the seats and invoices it can see elsewhere so Sidecar can do the sums. It can suggest. It cannot act.
Four steps, no custom instructions
- 1In Grok Bot open Connect Apps → Custom (in Cursor: Settings → Tools & MCP → New MCP server) and paste Sidecar's endpoint: https://sidecarpartner.com/api/mcp.
- 2Sign in to Sidecar when prompted. You land on Sidecar's own consent screen: pick the workspace, choose what the assistant may read and what it may record, then Allow. Each teammate signs in as themselves — a shared bot never lends one person's access to another.
- 3Ask a normal question: "What renews in the next 90 days?", "Review our Klaviyo agreement", "Where is money on the table?" Sidecar answers from the released reviews with the clause and the date behind every finding.
- 4Every call shows up under Settings → AI connections in Sidecar — what was asked, what was recorded, and from where. Disconnect in one click; Sidecar can pause a connection itself if its token turns up on several networks at once.

What the assistant can read
- ✓The renewal runway: every agreement's next actionable date, the last safe day to act, whether the dates are verified, and the dollars at stake.
- ✓A full vendor review in one call: released verdicts and risk, the negotiation asks with the clause each one cites, key dates with their source, pinned dates, and the savings ledger.
- ✓Usage and spend against the contract: seats paid for against seats used, invoices against the stated annual value — only from numbers somebody recorded, with the arithmetic written out.
- ✓Where money is on the table, ranked: unused committed quantities, spend above the contract, uncapped or announced price increases, auto-renewals nobody has decided on, vendors that look like they do the same job.
Already running Haggle Bot? Add Sidecar.
Grok Bot's Haggle Bot reads your spend and seat data and prepares the negotiation. What it cannot see is the contract. Add the Sidecar plugin to your Haggle Bot and it gains the clause behind every term, the notice window, and the verified dates — and when it finds idle seats or an invoice above the commitment, it records them in Sidecar so the comparison against the contract is kept, with its working, where your team can check it. Haggle finds the seats; Sidecar proves the clause and the deadline.
Copy Haggle Bot from the marketplace. Add the Sidecar plugin to it and sign in. Ask it to review a vendor before a renewal: it reads spend from your systems, records seats and invoices in Sidecar, and quotes Sidecar's clause, date and arithmetic back to you. A person still sends every notice and approves every change.
Five prompts to try first
Once connected, ask these in order. They are the walkthrough marketplace reviewers run against Sidecar's demo workspace (a fictional distributor, Harbor & Pine Supply Co.), and they work on any workspace with released reviews. The assistant can also load them itself as the reviewer_walkthrough prompt.
- 1“Show vendors renewing in the next 120 days.”
- 2“Which vendor has the biggest savings opportunity?”
- 3“Why?”
- 4“Review Tidemark Analytics.”
- 5“Show the evidence behind the recommendation.”
Then ask it to cancel the subscription. Sidecar will say it never does that: a member whose role allows it can record the decision; a person sends the notice.
What it can never do
Sidecar observes and prepares. Through Grok Bot or Cursor it can read, and with your permission it can record what it sees; a person decides, sends and signs.
- ✕never sends an email to a vendor
- ✕never signs or commits you to anything
- ✕never negotiates with a counterparty
- ✕never changes anything in your systems
Sidecar does not act on your behalf. It never sends an email to a vendor, signs anything, or negotiates with a counterparty.
Included on Core and Advisor
The connector is free to add in Grok Bot and Cursor; nothing is billed through the marketplace. Connections are part of Sidecar's Core and Advisor plans. Start free on sidecarpartner.com, upload a contract, and connect when you're ready.
Straight answers.
- Does Grok Bot need special instructions to use Sidecar?
- No. Every tool describes itself, the connection carries Sidecar's own instructions, and a short companion template (Sidecar Renewal Check) is available for a one-click start. Ask a normal question.
- Which workspace does the assistant read?
- The one you chose on the consent screen, for the life of that connection — switching workspaces in Sidecar later never moves it. Members of several workspaces pick on the screen.
- Can it cancel a subscription or email a vendor?
- No. It can record the decision on your say-so; the notice is yours to send, and the reminders keep coming until you confirm it went out.
- What does Sidecar do with the spend and seat numbers Grok Bot records?
- Stores exactly what was recorded, marked as coming from that connection, and derives utilization and variance from it against the contract — never an estimate, never a modelled number. A person can remove any row and sees every one.
